The Role: This is an excellent opportunity for a confident, ambitious marketer to join a growing agency. The Marketing Manager will be well supported by, and work closely with, senior team members and the design studio. They will have an opportunity to express their creativity and demonstrate initiative within a structured marketing, design and business development team. The Marketing Manager will have responsibility for marketing a wide variety of products and services. The ability to write extended copy, quickly and accurately, will be essential, together with a knowledge of digital publicity channels. The successful candidate will have experience of planning and executing strategic marketing campaigns across multiple channels including websites, email, social and print.

Responsibilities for the position of Marketing Manager include:

  • Helping to develop marketing strategies for small and large companies
  • Executing multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Working on brand development as part of a team
  • Developing digital campaigns with analytics        
  • Content creation
  • Competitor research
  • Managing budgets of more than £100,000

Experienced Requirements for the role of Marketing Manager:

  • 3+ years' relevant UK B2B marketing experience
  • Experience of working effectively with design teams
  • Experience of liaising effectively with customers
  • Exceptional copywriting skills
  • Experience of planning effective marketing campaigns
  • A thorough understanding of digital marketing channels, including website, email, social, SEO and AdWords
  • Experience of managing at least one other marketer
  • Educated to degree level would be preferable
  • Must be eligible to live and work in the UK

Located in Maidenhead just off the M4 in the Home Counties. FortuneWest is a business strategy and marketing company supported by a full service studio with more than twenty years’ experience in creating visual concepts, identities and design projects for all business sectors.

Our development has led to a rapid increase in the workflow for the studio and highlighted the need for a Studio Manager to provide a communication channel between our clients and the design team. The Studio Manager’s role is to ensure that our clients receive the best possible service and that their expectations are exceeded as projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a consistently high creative level.

Key responsibilities:

Client account handling

Understanding our clients’ objectives for each project

Formulating, negotiating and agreeing time frames and budgets, and ensuring they are met

Establishing clear lines of communication for each project

Troubleshooting any problems which may arise to ensure a swift and good-natured resolution

Consultant collaboration

Working with sales and marketing consultants to develop FortueWest’s strategic programmes in to deliverable projects

Understanding the long term development plans and adding to or creating your own projects to further this aim

Design team management

Ensuring that the designers have a clear understanding of their briefs – creative/financial/time

Tracking the progress of each project by creating and updating status reports

Updating the FortuneWest CRM on each project and its progress

General management

Ensuring the studio and its workflow run smoothly at all times. Managing the studio and project management CRM and being able to provide reporting on client/projects for both internal and external audience

Encouraging and managing the development of staff training, especially within the area of digital media. Reinforcing our aim to be progressive and offer an increasingly varied range of media services to our clients
